This is his first writing collaboration in science fiction. Perhaps like no one else's, his novels satisfy everything this reader could ask for in a work of fiction. Their love story might not be perfect but their love is them. This is the second book out of the set of three that was written by the author who was channeled through by a soul who has crossed over to the other side with information everyone should know about. Absolutely LOVED this book. The hardships and joys of a hardscrabble life in the late 1880’s are clearly stated with no apology and no sense of the desperation that poverty can elicit. Sadly, the cover is the only enjoyable part of the book, due to the massive amount of faded text crammed onto each page, surrounded by minimal white space. You should really check out the blog and biography's/Pictures she has about her characters. He loves that the name is also a character in the book. A serious reading of this book can be life changing. He leaves the dualistic, judgmental, angry and patriarchal God of what he calls Mediterranean Christianity behind and introduces a God of spirit, love, femininity (as well as the masculine) and creation. The harsh angles have softened: the tumult and the shouting have died away to the remoter cells of memory: Captain Niemeyer (of the Reserve) has departed - God knows where.
